Nutrition
Since our bodies need about 40 different nutrients to
maintain good health, it is important to choose foods wisely
to ensure that your body is receiving the proper nutrition.
At home, for your families and on the go, try to maintain
a health plan that includes:
- Fruits, vegetables, grains and low-fat foods
- Proteins such as lean meats, poultry, fish, beans and
eggs
- Food low in saturated fats, trans fats and
cholesterol
In addition, when shopping at the
grocery store, plan ahead for upcoming meals including
dinners, weekends and children’s
lunches.
Since our bodies need a specific amount
of calories each day, be sure that you are making the most
of your calories. Following the above tips will help you
on your way to a healthy lifestyle, and provide your body
with optimum nutrition. To keep track of your eating habits
