Fitness
While leading a busy life filled with careers, families
and friends, it can be difficult to take time out of the
day for yourself to stay active. However, did you know that
physical activity is directly linked to your overall health
and well- being? Physical activity can increase you energy levels as well as
reduce the risk of various diseases including type 2 Diabetes and heart disease.
Plus, exercising just helps you feel better and encourages a happier mental
state.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services suggests
that adults get at least 30 minutes of physical activity
each day. Though this may seem difficult to fit into your
schedule, here are a few tips to help you get out and get
moving:
- If you have kids, play an outdoor game with them such
as tag, or baseball.
- Take the dog out for a walk
- Head to the gym for a quick workout
- Walk or ride your bike to and from work
- Take a stroll with your spouse to catch up on the days
activities
- Run the office stairs on your lunch break
These are just a few options to help you stay healthy and fit.
